Local news portal for the city Herzelia
As a part of our activity, we also design responsive websites. Our studio manager Udi founded the local news site “Herzliya Today” as part of the site’s founding team consisting of volunteers of a wide range of ages who are engaged in marketing, content, internet, digital, design, communication, and more.
The team members decided to volunteer in their free time and invest in free coverage of what is happening in their beloved city, Herzliya. Udi and the team conducted competitor mapping and identification of needs in Herzliya city. Accordingly, they characterized the site and its goals while creating a new and unique design language. The team emphasizes making content accessible in a convenient, intuitive, and pleasant way to read.
What is the purpose of the project (website)? To bring a free (and of course liberal) local press to Herzliya. There are many stories, events, and cases that do not make the headlines in the local media today, and “Herzliya Today” is here to change that.
The site was a significant center during the Herzliya municipality elections, and today, after about a year since its establishment, the site reaches tens of thousands of hits per month with positive feedback and constant improvements. The entire process from the characterization phase and the identification of needs to the phase of setting up and entering the content took about two months of work and cooperation.

The home page shows all the updated news of the city.
The process of setting up the website included mapping competitors, identifying the need, creating differentiation, and further creating the content of the website and the characterization of the screens and the information architecture, so that the website will be convenient, clear, and supports search engines and promotion.

As a part of building the website in WordPress, we emphasized responsiveness and adaptation to the various platforms.
